I entered the wrong tax %; ;how do I zero it out?

I entered a wrong tax per centage. How do I zero out what I have entered?

On the item itself at checkout, you can click the item and set it to No Tax. 

In the system under Items->Sales Tax, you can edit the percentage to the correct amount.

If a transaction has already completed, you cannot change it, but when you file your sales tax report, you may have to pay the difference or you may have collected more than you should have, and you would account for that in your tax filing.
