I am updating my categories on square does it go back and update previous months sales reports?

IS THERE A WAY TO UPDATE PAST SALES REPORTS WITH NEW CATEGORIES?

As far as I know a category needs to be assigned at time of input or creation for it to be acknowleged.  If you assign an item to  catagory after it has been sold it won't recognise it - only furture sales of the item will be logged.
