We offer multiple different types of discounts, but cannot find a way to stop Square Retail from combining them together. For example, we may have automatic "sale items" discounts for everyone which are based upon specific assigned items or categories, but we also have other discounts based upon customer groups (e.g first responders, employees, etc.) or newspaper coupons which are added manually to the sale at the register. None of these discounts are to be combined to give the person a super duper discount, rather just the highest available of any one discount. For everything we can see in the Discounts set-up, this is not possible to stop Square Retail from combining multiple discounts.
