How to set up Shipping as default during online checkout

Hello everyone!

This may be obvious and knowing me, I probably just missed it, however, during online checkout I have both Curbside pickup and Shipping set up as options. It currently defaults to Curbside pickup for the customer. I would like it to default to Shipping as that is what the majority of customers have as their choice.

 

Is there a way to set that up that i missed?

HI, you can check a couple of places to see what may be the issue.

 

Does each item correctly state its fulfillment method?

 

Checkout Fulfillment Method properly setup?

Online Dashboard, Settings, Checkout, upper right Advanced Settings, scroll down to Default Fulfillment Method

Thanks Terri, Shipping settings got it....told you it would be obvious. Guess that's my duhhhh moment for the day 😉

I entered Shipping and Pickup in settings and checked Shipping as the default in Checkout settings but it shows up on the site as Pickup as the default. I also have Shipping and Pickup checked for each item in the Item Library. How can I make Shipping the default for checkout?

We tested one item and it is defaulting to shipping - yay! 🎉

 

Is there a particular item that is not defaulting to shipping?

It’s possible that a fulfillment setting was missed on one of more of your Edit Item pages. Or maybe you've pinpointed the issue since writing in here? Let us know what you're seeing, and feel free to include links to any affected items!
