It'd be great to have the status of our orders for pick up displayed on a tablet that we could place on our store fronts. Is there a way to integrate the order status so that customers that are waiting outside know where their order is?

@That’s such a great idea! I might have to do the same.
It could be as simple as putting an iPad facing out (But not touchable) opened to the POS app, on the Orders Applet Tab. That would show all the orders & their current status.
Or the Orders Tab on the web dashboard.
You could also airplay it / connect it to a TV!

I’m excited to implement the new Square KDS in our kitchen. We operate as a fast casual restaurant, where customers come to the counter to pick up their food once it’s ready. Is there a way to display to customers which orders are ready (but not yet picked up) and which orders are still being prepared?

While there isn't currently a feature available that would allow you to display order status on a TV like this, it looks like @CarmenF asked the same question and @pessosices provided a way to display orders to waiting customers. Although this would currently be considered a feature request, I hope this suggestion helps!

From what I can understand, this needs to be available for in person orders (fast casual) as well because right now the order status is only available for online orders from what I can find. I do not know if this will change when I go to the Square KDS or not.
