Hello. I was wondering if someone could help me figure how to print out a sales report?
Happy to help advise.
- Open your report
- Right click
- Save Page As
- Name it
- Save page a "Web Page Complete"
- Save it where you want it
From there you should be able to open and right click and select print.
Hope this helps you

Unless I missed something, I don't think you can print out a report, but you can have it display on your screen, then of course export a .csv file and bring it into Excel and get fancy printing it from there 🙂
From what I've seen @RCT is right. because of the multiple windows and frames used in the square dashboard neither safari, chrome, or edge are able to print much more than is rendered on the screen. This seems like something that should be a lot easier to do than downloading the .csv and then sorting and deleting all the extra data.
that would be a good idea to have the option to select which fields/variables we want to show on the report.
Only problem I see is not everyone using Square understands the full concept of databases and how you query them to get the data you want.
I guess as long as the easy most used reports are available for those that don't have the full knowledge of all that extra stuff, then that would be fine for them. But, to also have the options for us techie want to know everything data people 🙂
I've talked to a number of my local friends that use square, and a good portion of them just swipe the card adding the amount each time and don't quite get the concept of how an inventory tracking system and sales reports can benefit them.

@Brewman - Thanks for the help tackling this question, and welcome to the Seller Community. We hope to hear more from you. 🙂
As I pull up my reports for the week on my Square app, there is a print icon and when I press and I don't know where it's going. It does not respond. I would love to be able to print my report for the week right from the app but instead I have to email it and then copy the text and print it in printer Pro. Takes three steps. Anyone know a better way to do this with an iPad? Thanks!
Hey @Kvsalon, thanks for flagging this. To make sure we're on the same page, any chance you can reply with a screenshot of the icon as well as letting me know which report you're trying to print out? This will help me take a closer look — appreciate your help with this!
Hey Tom, I am printing out my sales report for the week. So it is under reports. Unfortunately I took a screenshot and cropped the icon and there is no attachment for this response nor can I paste it. When I click on the camera button here it just ask for the source and I'm not sure how to put that in.
Also, I am trying to print from the square app on my iPad....I noticed that is different from the dashboard. Sorry, should have been more clear.
Thanks for your reply, @Kvsalon.
I see what you mean. When you go to the Point of Sale app > Reports > Sales > (select a timeframe) > Print Report, it's unclear which printer the report gets sent to. I'll dig around a bit more on this and circle back once I have more information. Thanks for your patience!
Update: I was able to touch base with our developers and they are aware of this issue. We don't have a specific timeline available for when this will be resolved yet, but we will reply with any updates. Appreciate your patience in the meantime — keep in touch!
On my ipad when I print a monthly or daily sales report it prints out on my receipt printer.
Hey @MPrints.
If you're printing these from the Square app, and you have a receipt printer connected, the report will print out on the receipt paper.
If you'd like to print reports on printer paper, you can do so by going to the Reports section in the Online Dashboard, exporting whatever report you need, and printing it from there. Let me know if you have any questions about this.
No questions from me, I was just letting @Kysalon know that if they had a receipt printer in their system then their ipad would print the report to it
This approach does not work when the report is longer than the window it is displayed in and has a scroll bar associated with it. Data is not displayed (hidden in the scroll window) will not be collected, saved or printed when using this method 😞
Sorry to hear you can't print a report @DaveD! Can you try @JenJewels' suggestion, if you're using FireFox? (By the way thank you @JensJewels!)
If you're still having trouble, please let me know how you're viewing reports — are you on your Square Dashboard on a computer, or your internet browser on your iPad? Or, are you viewing them from the Point of Sale app on your iPad? Happy to investigate this further!
If you are using FireFox as your web browser, when you have the sales report open, clinck on the 3 horizontal lines on the upper right had page which will open the FireFox menu. Click on PRINT which will print the page. You can also use a PDF creator to create a PDF of the page which you can save.
thank you this was exactly what I was trying to do
this definitely does NOT work
