I can cancel a transaction, but my customer would like a receipt to prove the cancellation. How do I accomnpllsh this?
If you canceled the sale before it was complete then there is no way to provide proof because it didn't happen. If you returned the sale then you can provide a receipt.
While you can't send a receipt since no transaction took place, you can pull up canceled transactions on your Dashboard. https://squareup.com/dashboard/sales/reports/transaction-status You could show the customer that the transaction was canceled there.
