How do I "check out" or "ring up" a client when the service is done?

Hi @Libby_Miller! 

It sounds like you're using the Square Appointments app? You can check out customers after a service using this app, but you'll also need latest version of the Point of Sale app.

This Support Center article has steps to check out with the Square Appointments app.

I'm wondering if I can do it with all customers? even those that use cash or check

You should be able to tender a transaction as cash or check just fine by following the steps in the linked article @Helen provided. 👍
