How do I process a comp Gift card?

How do I process a comp Gift card? this is for a raffle prize in my store. I want to give away Gift

you can load the card for $100 and give a 100% discount or $100 coupon on it to bring the total to $0 but the card will have $100 on it.

I want to load $50 to a gift card to give as a donation for a fundraiser, but it asks me to enter a credit card number when checking out.  How do I add the money without a credit card?  Can it just be put on and used like a discount when they return to use the credit card?
