How do I get access to all the email addresses I've entered in square?

Square seems to be holding my email addresses hostage. My business is to put lawn signs in people's yards for a birthday. People usually only order once. I don't save their customer info. But I enter their email address when I take their credit card to send them a receipt. I expect square to store this info and allow me access to it. I try to find this list of emails, but it's not there. I have thousands of customers I've served but only 4 or 5 names in the customer list. I should have access to export this list of email addresses.

As part of our customer privacy policy, we don’t share your customers’ email addresses or full contact information that is entered when they get a receipt from Square. If you want to email a customer, you can reach out using our Square Marketing or Direct Message from your Customer Directory, but all email addresses will remain confidential.

 

You can always manually add a customer’s email address to your Customer Directory if they offer that information at the time of sale or use our Email Collection Tools. That is how you'll be able to build out a customer profile with their email address, and export that information. 

 

If you are using Square Marketing, only send marketing communications to customers who have consented to receive marketing emails from your business. You are responsible for ensuring the customers on your list have given explicit permission to contact them and for compliance with all applicable laws.
