How do I effectively layoff myself on SQ Payroll?

I need to 'layoff' or 'fire' myself so I am eligible for unemployment in Texas. I am the only W2 on my payroll account, the rest are 1099.  Do I just make my salary $0, or is their other methods I need to follow to make sure the correct fillings are made with the Texas Workforce Commission?

To your question I have no idea.
I do own a home service business in Austin. My wife made me shut it down. We filed with TWC and they never asked me for sort of verification that we were no longer working. Just told them we’re temporarily closed and I was approved. The site did say they needed more info and for me to call the number that never rings. About a week later, after 1000 calls and never getting thru, that message was replaced by an unapproved payment schedule. Two days later that was gone and a direct deposit was made. All in all it took about three weeks. It may go thru faster if you get to talk with someone.
