How do I close out sales at month end?

We are new to Square.  We have always used a cash register and at the end of the month we would run a Z report to close out sales and start new for the next month.  Do you have to do this with Square?  If so, how?

You do not have to do anything like the old x,y,z reporting. All the data is saved in the cloud and accessible.
