How do I add stock into a new item?

I'm selling prints through Sqaure, but it won't let me add stock and keeps saying something about a SKU? I put one in (I think) but it still won't let me change the inventory at all. I don't use barcodes or anything either! I'm at a loss. Help please!

In your Dashboard You should be able to just enter the qty and turn on Tracking.  NO SKU is needed.  What is the error?
