How do I add an automatic tip for large orders on square POS?

We are wanting to add an automatic tip charge of $5 for orders of 8+ drinks that aren't preordered because it slows down traffic at our drive-thru window. Is there a way to do this so that it gets reported as a tip? Thanks.

There isn't an automatic feature that adds a quantity based surcharge unfortunately. You'll need to create a $5 dollar item, then manually add it to the sale. Down side - it cannot be reported as a tip, but it will be includes in your Item Sales Report.
