How can I have a different description for each variation?

Hello all,

As we all know there is a description box for each product to fill in with info.  But, I have variations for a product and I want to display a unique description when my customer selects a variation.  

How can I do this?

HI, you would need to list each variation as its own listing.  One description is for one listing.

Hi Terri,

Thanks for the response.  Wow, that is really... limiting.  That seems counter-intuitive to the purpose of variations.

I wonder is there a way to add some javascript or HTML that can pull a description (from somewhere, have no idea) & add it to the webpage that presents the user selection?

If you are using Square Online at this time the only way to apply custom coding would be by using the "Embed Code" section @damonmannistudi. I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request. 

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
