How can I enter a customer to the loyalty program after they have already checked out?

I have had several customers check out and then change their minds and say they wanna join the loyalty program. Since they have already paid, I don’t see an option to add them...help!

I don't use the loyalty program, but I would think you could use the way to manually add stars to their transaction.  unless you can't because they haven't agreed to be in the program or something.

Edit: so you can't until they choose to be in the program during a sale.

Just to confirm that at this time there is not away to enroll a customer in your Loyalty Program outside of a sale. 

The Loyalty Product team heard this feedback in the post that @VanKalkerFarms shared above: Square Loyalty: Manage Customer Rewards From Your Dashboard. If we build a solution for those customers who change their minds (I include myself in that category!) we'll update this thread.
