How I can link my Canadian bank account to Square?

The FAQ of Square doesn't deal or answer anything about linking Canadian bank accounts to Square.  In the dashboard, I'm being asked for routing number instead of transit number, which Canadian banks use.  Can someone help me out?

Hi @PegCity_V2P - If you're using Square in the US, you can only connect a US bank account to the account.

I understand how this would be helpful to folks who have business presence in multiple countries, so I'll pass your request on to our team who handles deposits.

@katieand Thank you so much.  I deal with multiple locations.  But right now I'm starting in North America but my Canadian bank account has trouble linking with Square.  I bank with Royal Bank of Canada.  I just thought it was so easy to link the bank account but it's not.  I don't recommend Square to Canadians unless Square modified this process to make it easier.

Thanks for sharing @PegCity_V2P! Square is available in Canada so you might try creating an account there to link your Royal Bank of Canada.

@katieand  Yeah I know it's available in Canada.  Staples even sell your hardware.  However, if Square is supportive of Canadian process than US, to link the bank account, Square should be using "Institution Number" and "Transit Number" instead of "Routing Number or ACH" which are for US bank accounts.
