Headphone jack magstripe reader

Hello, I just ordered the headphone Magstripe reader for my phone. I tried plugging it in my phone but it doesn't fit, I put pressure on the reader and it links to my account but as soon as I lift my finger it disconnects. My phone jack is 3.5 and the reader says its size is 3.5, my phone is brand new so I don't think that's the problem. My phone is the LG Stylo 5. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thank you.

Hi @Michaelryan1. Sorry to hear the Magstipe reader isn't fitting properly with your device. Is there a phone case on your Stylo? Some phone cases prevent the reader from plugging in all the way. Also be sure to clear out any lint/debris that might've fell into the jack.
