HTC Desire Eye device with the chip-card reader.

Hi, I am trying to use a HTC Desire Eye device with the chip-card reader. I have paired the chip-reader and shortly after the chip-reader process an auto-update. After that, I was able to process a test transaction, but once I leave the square app, and then go back into see if everything is working, the device loses connection to the reader. I've tried multiple times and still same thing every time...? Current Android Ver. 4.4.4 Square ver 4.55 and HTC Sense Ver 6.0. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hi there. 

The Square Contactless and Chip Card Reader will disconnect anytime the Square Register app is closed or the device goes to sleep. 

The reader should reconnect automatically, however if it doesn't, you can repair the reader to your device and it should work for you.
