Google Pay offers free shipping

If my customers pay through standard Square checkout, the shipping is added, as it should be. However, if customers choose "Buy with GPay," no shipping is added. How can I ensure shipping is added when customers use GPay. I can't afford to provide free shipping. Thanks -- Pete.

Should have stated that Google Pay DELETES shipping charge entered in Square, which is not desired: GPay users have to pay shipping also, but Square doesn't add shipping charge.

Hey there, @DMCaz! Thanks for reaching out here and letting us know about this. So sorry for the trouble here, this is an interesting issue indeed.

 

Shipping address settings in relation to both Apple Pay and Google Pay are controlled and regulated by the owner of the mobile device using the payment method. If your customer is using Google Pay but has not added any shipping method to their device, they can do so directly from their Settings Tab within their device. 

 

With this being said, something definitely seems off if your customer is allowed to place an online order without a designated shipping address. Both this and the shipping related charges being deleted are concerning. Would you mind flagging this over to our Support Team for further investigating? We might need to get a hands on look into this one.
