This has been happening since December when I ran the update. I have since "reverted to the old format" and it helped a little, but there is still a tremendous lag between my pressing "charge" and the lights going green on my chip reader. I have put in a ticket for tech support, to which they sent me a boilerplate response and asked me to call in. I called in, got someone who had no idea what they were doing, but admitted that they could not solve my problem and said they would escalate the ticket. That was 2 months ago and I've never heard back.
In order to process cards, I have to hit "charge" look at the chip reader, if no light I have to x out of the charge pop-up, hit charge again, look for light. It takes between 2 and 15 times of doing this for the light to finally come on. It's embarassing and unprofessional. I have run all the updates on Square and all the updates on my tablet, which is SOLELY used to run square. My wifi is extremely strong, and the tablet AND square reader are 3 feet from the wifi router.
Can anybody help me, PLEASE.
