Expected Cash in Drawer is Out

Yesterday was my first day using Square POS.  I had 1 cash sale, and at the end of the day, my drawer balance reflected that sale with an increased balance.  Perfect!  However, this morning, my expected cash in drawer is back to what is was at the start of day yesterday.  Why?  I didn't deposit the cash sale, and entered the new balance when I ended the drawer.  Now my drawer is out by the amount of yesterday's cash sale.

When a new day starts it starts with the default amount you entered as the starting cash, not last night's close.   I think you confirm what is in the drawer when you start but I don't have an iPad to check on.  Confirming last night at end of day was right but it  I'd guess 99% of people take out the cash that was added to the previous day's sales so that the drawer always has the same starting amount.
