Are you referring to removing an item out of inventory because it got broke? If so you can do it a couple ways. Remove it from inventory by adjusting your count, and then take the markdown in your accounting software. Or ring the item up and take a 100% markdown, this takes a retail markdown and not a cost markdown. Might talk to your accountant about how to record that?
