Does the mPOP barcode scanned work with Square Register?

The mPOP cash drawer and receipt printer that Square list on the website also has a mPOP barcode scanner available, however isn't listed on the Square website (under any category).

Does anyone know if this will work with Register? I assume since the cash drawer and printer works then it might hopefully work, however didn't want to plunk down a chunk of change on Register and all this hardware if it doesn't work! 😅

Hi @artizansty, thanks for your post. There is no mPOP barcode scanner as such. You can see all the barcode scanners compatible with Square Register here. Can you share the link to the page where you see that barcode scanner available? This will help me understand better and find out more information if necessary.

Thanks for these links @artizansty, this is Star mPOP CCD Barcode Scanner and it is not compatible with Square hardware. At the moment, we have a few models from Zebra (Symbol) and Honeywell. Please check the full list of compatible barcode scanners here.
