My employees have regularly misentered the amount received from a customer when checking out. Example: amount due is 2.50 and customer gives a $10 bill, employee enters $100 accidentally. Will it effect the ending drawer amount?
yes, it will be off, since the app will be calculating that the employee just gave the change of $97.50 instead of $7.50. any incorrectly entered sales or incorrect change given will affect the cash in drawer and the expected cash in drawer.
Our last POS system did not track that, it was basically a calculator for the employees benefit, so I wasn’t sure. Thanks!
I should add you have to turn on cash drawer tracking in the app.
