Yes, the Square Register requires wall power at all times to operate.

You might check out the Square Terminal. It's got a built in battery that is pretty long-lasting and would likely get you through a day.

Hello @zev111 Great question and the answer is no. The Square Register only supports 110v outlet at this time.
