Does the Square Register automatically update and reflect the changes made from a desktop/laptop?

I am trying to set up 2 square registers for my two locations. I updated everything and created menus from my laptop, and designed the grid layout and everything, but after turning on and signing in on the register screen itself, nothing looks the same, and most information is not showing up. For example, our drink section doesn't show up half of the options I created. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I'm wondering if from online it is running as Square for Restaurants, but maybe on the square register device itself is not matching the restaurant menu. Hmmm

Hey @goldenrodpastri and welcome to the Seller Community! Are you using the freemium version of Square for Restaurants or the paid version? I know that only some features of the paid version of Square for Restaurants will come through on the Square Register. 

 

Also, make sure you are signed into the Restaurants version on the Square Register and not the Point of Sale version. To sign in to Square for Restaurants on your Register, make sure that your Register is updated to the latest software. Log out of Square Point of Sale and log back in using a Square Restaurants Device Code.
