@Curley_Drinks There is something in the card holder agreements/merchant agreement that you cannot just leave the point of sale and it be a self serve like this. You can set up a self checkout kiosk using one of the third party marketplace vendors so a customer could select the item and pay like a self checkout. But that functionality is not inherently built into the system.
You could get a square terminal and use that to take payment table side with the customer and they can leave a tip, but you send the charge to the terminal and then they can pay. You could also look at self serve ordering where the customer scans a QR code, orders, and pays themselves.
