Do customers automatically get an email or text when I manually create an appointment for them?

I created a customer and appointment in square, and input a customer's email but don't have their phone number. Do they automatically get notified via email that this appointment has been set up and ask them to confirm? How do I know they've been confirmed or received this notification?

Hi @pineapple - When creating an appointment on your end, you will have the option to send your client a customized email or text message notifications regarding the appointment. To learn more, you can check out Manage Your Appointment Notifications.

 

Unfortunately, client side confirmation is not available at this time, as the booking of the appointment is assumed to be confirmed and the client is assumed to show up unless they cancel or reschedule, in which you would then receive confirmation of those changes.
