Discount coupon works but gives message that order doesn't qualify AFTER the discount is applied

I added a discount coupon for $5 off orders over $25. The coupon works; however, when the new subtotal is under $25 after discount is applied, a message is displayed that the order does not qualify for the discount.

 

How can this be fixed? It's confusing the customer.

We'd be happy to help you look into this. Seems like there should be a way to edit the coupon where it only identifies sales over $25.00 rather than giving notifications for all other sales. Let us dig a little more into this. We will be back with more.

@OnLineSeller - We appreciate your time while a website specialist and I took a closer look at your Square coupon settings. We were unable to replicate the coupon issue at the time of sale even if the discount was applied for a sale under $25.00 after the discount (please see pictures below). On our end the coupon is working as expected.  

 

When this issue occurred was the total less than $25.00?

Thanks for looking into this. Yes, I see the same thing that you see until I click the CHECKOUT button and then the message displays right under the Coupon SCRAPPERS box that reads "Your current order does not yet qualify for coupon SCRAPPERS" The coupon is being applied.

Stepping in for @sayra real quick, @OnLineSeller 👋

 

I checked in with the support queues, and it looks like one other person brought this up a couple weeks ago, but the issue was resolved. I recommend reaching out to customer support to see if the advanced support team can do some further research on this for you. The team has a credit card they can use to actually process an order (or attempt to process) as we would not be able to action that step from this page. 

 

Phone support is limited on the weekend for Square, but Ecom (Weebly) is available. You can try using this link to skip directly over to the Ecom support page. You will see an option for the phone team that will include the phone number and your account pin. 😊
