I believe this is going to be a feature request as I don't see a clean way to do this.
It causes issues for us having the first modifier in a set pre-selected as the choice. Often, these help our staff remember to ask the important option choices to our customer. With wrong defaults selected, our staff is able to add items to an order and forget to select the right choice.
How can we unselect modifiers so that a user is forced to choose one when required and disable default selected modifiers?
Thanks in advance.
Hey @PerksCoffee - great question! You can fix this from your Dashboard - here's how:
Items > Modifiers > click the modifier set (details will pop up on the right of your screen) > un-check Customer can only select one modifier.
Notice the message underneath this setting: The first modifier in your set will become the default. By disabling this feature, your modifier options will no longer be pre-selected which should prevent your employees from selecting the wrong choice. I hope this helps!
Thanks for the response. It's a workaround I'll consider.
I'll just say that there is benefit in forcing only 1 option and disabling pre-selection for us.
