Deactivating to update Owner Name + restarting again?

I got married and legally changed my name since opening my Square account. Since I'm unable to update my last name in the system, I know I need to delete my account and start a new one (dumb). My question is if I am able to use THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS for my new Square account once the old one is deactivated? I only have ONE work email and do not want to create another one just because Square cannot figure out how to change the owner's last name...

Your email will be tied to your account and if you go to make a new one it will still be tied to the old one.  may not be the ideal solution but a free Gmail account would probably be your quickest solution.

Hello @imlashinout! I just followed up with your comment on another thread. If you're still interested in creating a new account, our Customer Success Team can deactivate your account and remove your email address. That way you'll be able to use your work email when signing up for your new account.
