Argh. I'm not sure what is going on but is there any way to bypass the default "this color won't be legible on a white background". I had my brand colors all set and things were fine until the new roll out.
Now my website has black text. This is so odd because this is the only interface that prohibits freedom of adding your brand colors.
Hey @mintandcoco - Unfortunately you cannot bypass that message.
Hopefully I can shed some light - the restriction is set to prevent using colors that would cause accessibility issues for people with visual impairments.
Definitely can see how it cramps your color branding. Hopefully you understand we try to facilitate all our Seller's needs as well as your buyers' to create a comfortable shopping experience for all which in turn brings prospective buyers to your site.
Thanks for understanding 🙂
It’s too restrictive. If you say you give companies creative control and allow customization but you have a specific color palette reserved, how does that work?
Also, I had a darker green color as my main text for months after your design team changed my original color palette. It’s extremely annoying.
This is an unnecessarily paternalistic treatment of your users. Please remove this restriction. A warning would be a more appropriate approach.
Thank you!
I would like to be in control over a website I pay for monthly. As a seller, it’s too restrictive.
