Combined Shipping Option?

Is there a way to have a combined shipping option?  For example, if I charge $5 shipping for one shirt (to cover cost of shipping and packing, etc), I don't necessarily need to charge $5 for every single item.  Is there an option to set up combined shipping.  If I sell 2 shirts, I'd like to make the shipping $7-8.

Hi @kandb435, I wanted to do the exact same thing. The solution turned out to be to use a combination of two different settings.

1. Shipping Settings
After you log into your online store, select Settings in the upper right. Then scroll down to Shipping Settings and select Flat Charge. Then you can enter a flat amount that will be added once to every order (regardless of the number of items). I set mine to $3. Save.

2. Item Settings
Next, click Store Settings (again in the upper right). Edit the first item. Scroll down to the bottom. Note that the flat amount you added in step #1 is next to "Shipping". Now, in the Extra Shipping Charge section, you can specify an additional amount for Square to add to the shipping charge for the order. If a person orders two of the item, the amount will be added twice. I set mine to $1 for small/light items and more for bigger items. Save. Repeat step #2 for every item where the flat shipping charge set in step #1 won't cover the cost of shipping the item.

In my case, if a customer orders two small items, the total shipping will be $5 ($3 + $1 + $1). This is just an example.

You'll probably want to figure out which rates for flat and per item shipping charges best meet your needs before you go in and make all those edits.  You can always fine tune them later.  I always keep in mind that my cost to ship is rarely going to exactly match the calculated charge.  As long as these simple shipping settings average out in the end I'm good.
