I have a client who paid for their next four treatments in advance (without actually booking them) is there a way to add money to their account? Like a “cash on file” or a positive account balance?

Not the way you're thinking. You have customer profiles, but not accounts. 

 

You can take a payment in advance and then on the visit you can write up a $0 ticket and notate how much is deducted and the balance. For reference, I would copy and paste the original receipt # into new transactions to tie them together. 

 

I think the better option would be using the eGift cards. Have the customer purchase a gift card and simply run the gift card for future transactions until it is empty. The customer can even add more funds to it later on.
