Change date checkout old cash transaction

How do I check out a cash transactions from a few days ago.

At this time, you cannot change or backdate a transaction. Whenever the transaction is taken, that's the date it will show in your reports.

Seems like this should be something simple to add on Square. A lot of people use the booking options (salon) for appointments along with the POS but would like to have all the financial records reflect the correct dollar amounts. I’m trying yo reconcile for the year of 2021 and realized there was a few Venmo transactions I needed to add for 2021 but now it’s showing income for 2022. Seems strange to not allow corrections as the administrator of the account as this topic has been discussed for several years after further research.

I fully agree. As a bookkeeper myself and a square user I feel that this is very important for reporting sales correctly. Especially for P & L quarterly reports. I too would like to have this feature available.

Just commenting to see if there has been any update on a back dating feature.  Seems like this has been asked for for several years now, and I'm guessing it's still not changed.  I was hoping it would be, as my bookkeeping software is being retired and I was hoping to rely on Square to track my income instead.  But I have several transactions not entered for the year that would totally fubar my books if they were all entered now and dated for June.
