Capturing Customer Credit Card Data

My business currently uses square contracts for our customer onboarding process, but we have run into an issue with the square credit card authorization form.

We need to capture customer credit card data to allow us to use their card on file for charges outside square in addition to merchant charges processed by square.

Is there a way in Square Contracts to capture cc data that can be unmasked, for use with non-square transactions?  The current cc form only allows us to keep a card on file for square transactions.

Thanks for your question and welcome to Seller Community, @travelingnate

There isn't a way to do that, unfortunately. What types of services or products are you charging your customers for which is outside of Square? There might be ways to still use Square to charge your customer; for example, you invoice them for a particular amount, they pay it, then you take that money and use it with your own business card to pay for the service or item.

We are in travel planning, so we need to provide client cc data to various suppliers such as airlines, hotels, guide services, restaurants, etc.   Unfortunately, for most services we cannot provide a company card, as the clients card must be on file for the service costs AND incidentals.

We currently use a cc auth form sent through Adobe Sign, but we were hoping to use Square to consolidate our contracts and payment processes.

@travelingnate Thanks for explaining that. That is currently a feature request for us so I would recommend using Adobe Sign still. 🙂
