Can I use the Square POS app permanently with out an internet connection?

I want to be able to operate the square app without relying on internet at all.  Is this possible?  I don't need it for credit card - just want to use the app as a cash register.

I tried to do it, but then it won't let me run/print a report for end of day summary.

Anyone know the answer?

I don't think that will work. Yes, you can use the app as a cash register for free, but it is a cloud based POS and needs to talk to the servers to backup and lookup transactions.  You can use it offline for a while but there might be time requirements.  Also, a large percentage of the data and reports are only accessible online at your dashboard.
