What sort of gift cards do you mean?  

If it's a card with a major credit card logo on it, it can be used just like a credit card.  

If you'd like to have your own branded gift cards, you can purchase those through Square and sell them in your store:

How do you sell them in your store?

Are you meaning physical store or online store?

We sell them in our shop but was told in the past there is no way to sell them online.

yes, any gift card bearing a visa, MasterCard, or an American express logo will work.

It doesn't work. I have two that was presented for payment and both were declined.  They have the Visa logo on them and are prepaid cards.  Wasn't able to scan with my Square.

For my Visa gift cards, would I need to input MY zip code?  I'm going to be entering several cards through the reader.  I was told by Acuity that there may be a need to have a present zip code on the gift card.  Does that seem like it would be an issue?

Hey @lennypilates 👋

Your customer might have to activate the gift card by using their own address, in which case they'd want to provide their own zip code.

If you're unable to get the payment to process the using the zip code they've provided, either try to enter 00000 as the ZIP code for international cards or card with no ZIP code, or ask them to contact the giftcard provider.

I have our own Gift Cards purchased through SQUARE.

People want to use them to purchase items on our 'online' store.

What number do they enter?  gift cards have no mo/yr or expiration.

Please help.
