Bookstore Inventory Headers

 I have a small bookstore and want to upload my inventory into Square so that I can sell books at events. How do I upload the file I receive when I order books - maintaining Title, Author, Format, Pub Date, Publisher, Price, ISBN, etc

there isn't a way to upload a file directly to import it but you can download your item spreadsheet and then combine it with that format and then re-import it into Square.  Here is an article explaining it.

re: bookstore and square.

I'm in the process of building a new webbookstore and secure cart; an unannounced "upgrade" to my old site by the cart supplier trashed my website. While I no longer do B&M and show sales, I use square for call-ins and locals still. I would prefer to be building in Square's space instead of what I'm going to.

Please add Bobzbay to the list of booksellers that would like additional book-related fields for display/inventory management. We will try to make do with the option name/value, description, and variation fields for now.

We use Art of Books for inventory management and to sell on Amazon but the venues that Art of Books integrates with are not great. Building integration between Art of Books and Square will require a developer.

Unfortunately, it seems as if these other fields aren't searchable. So, even if we populate the description field with the author's name, the item won't show up for customers searching for that author.
