I have a mobile business, and need to block time *before* a given appointment time in order to travel to the customer's location. I am not talking about the setting for appointment lead time, I am talking about the ability for the following scenario:
Customer books appointment for noon. Schedule automatically blocks from 11:30 til noon as prep time, then 60 minutes for the appointment, and an extra 30 minutes of travel time after the appointment (which is currently able to do with no issue). Customer gets reminders etc for their noon appointment, not 11:30, and no one is able to book any other appointment that would conflict with that 11:30-noon window.
Any ideas?
Hey @handybikes thanks for posting! While we don't have exactly what you are looking for, I think a good workaround will be requiring your clients to book their appointments a certain time in advance, that way you will have time to set up and prepare.
You can set that up on your Square Dashboard under Appointments > Settings > Calendar & Booking.

Thanks, but that doesn't address the issue that I am having. Hopefully this is something that can be considered for the next round of app updates though!
Also looking for this feature. If I'm scheduling a delivery for 2:30, I'd like the client to receive the email scheduling their 2:30 appointment, while ALSO BOOKING MYSELF from 2:00-2:30 for the 30 minute drive to the client, (in addition to) not just booking the 30 minute drive back to the shop, without having to ensure I set a "personal appointment" manually.
I have this issue too. This will be a deal breaker with me and Square.
Is it possible to block time BEFORE an appointment rather than only after please?
For example I need 10 mins preparation time before an appointment so if an appointment is at 1pm I need to block out from 12:50pm on my calendar but I don't want the client getting a notification that their appointment is at 12:50pm when it is actually at 1pm!
