Automatic discounts priority

First off, congrats and thank you for finally allowing automatic discounts. I've been waiting for it forever.

However, I have a few BOGOs set up, but when the conditions are met for more than one BOGO with the same items, the lower discount is applied instead of the bigger one.

Example - we have buy 5 pastries get 1 more free (value $2). In addition, we have buy 2 pastries and a coffee, get $1 off. When someone wants 6 pastries and a coffee, they get the lower $1 discount rather than the $2.

The default should be to apply the higher discount or to let users set their priority.

This is a great call-out, @Tommer. Thanks for letting us know about this! Very interesting, indeed.

 

I want to flag this over to our developing Engineers, but would you mind gathering some additional information for me? I am curious as to which discount is listed first on your list of discounts on your Point of Sale. This would help us rule out if the discrepancy is in regards to how they are listed rather than the discount defaulting to a lower or higher percentage or number. 

 

A screen shot of how the discounts are listed would also be helpful if available!

Thank you for replying. Here's a snippet of the dashboard screen.

The alphabetical order doesn't seem to explain it (maybe reversed..?).

You will notice that the discounts are fixed amounts.

Also - I mentioned on the main thread that there is another bug when manually applying a discount in addition to an automatic one. The automatic discount amount changes (even though it's a fixed amount). From $1.95 discount to $1.75 and sometimes $1.73. Very strange behavior.

I'll be happy to help resolve it with any information I can provide.

I was holding out hope that we would be able to gain a bit more insight into this issue from some context clues of how your Discounts were listed, but this may be something we need to flag over to our Support Team. They should be able to take a deeper, hands-on dive with you in this.
