Automatic Receipt Going To Wrong Person

Hello,

 

My company just signed up for square. We successfully accepeted our first payment from a client yesterday and today we received a receipt from a purchase he just made with another company. How can we fix this?

More than likely while checking the customer out the cashier typed your business email address into the email address box on the receipt screen.  That box is for the customer to enter their information (be it an email address or cell phone number).

 

There is a link in the email with the receipt that you can click that says Not your receipt (or something to that extent), click that and it will disassociate your business email address from the customer's credit card.

Someone made a purchase on my credit card for me and that person input their email for the receipt. Now all of my transactions are going to their email and I can't figure out how to change this or get my previous receipts (they are no longer a part of our organization).

I merged your post with an existing post on how to have this person unlink their email from the card for receipts.

 

They'll need to locate > Manage Preferences to unlink from there.
