Hi @grocerybabu - Welcome to The Seller Community, it's always nice to see a new face 😊

Great Question.

At this time Square does not directly accept EBT payments.

However, we have a workaround!

Square integrates with TotilPay to allow EBT-authorized sellers to use their existing Square account and hardware to seamlessly accept credit, as well as debit, SNAP, WIC, and loyalty cards.

I hope this helps.

I'm finding this "workaround" to be quite a pain.  I've been trying to contact TotilPay through the Square website links for two days, going on three, and they haven't responded except with an email suggesting I set up a stand alone account with TotilPay that would appear to be completely seperate from Square.  I am a mobile business, and I do not need two sets of hardware, and two companies handling transactions.  What, exactly, is this "integration" spoken of on the Square and TotilPay websites?  It appears there is no integration at all.

I should add that I am a fully re-authorized EBT retailer, and I have customers waiting.

I finally was able to establish some email communication with TotilPay.  Now I know why they don't advertise the prices of their equipment.  They want $129.00 for their EBT card reader alone.  That's pretty expensive in this day and age.  Considering their poor response time, and the cost of their equipment, I'm not certain the Square+TotilPay "integration" is going to be a "fit" for my business.  Unless someone can "sell" me on the benefits, I'm going to have to explore other options.

TotilPay is a disaster for what they call "integration"

Has anyone had luck with a better option or any word that Square will soon accept EBT directly ?
