have "Default Vendor" automatically reassigned by lowest cost

I am sure their are people who love the default vendor as it is coded but I would love a check box that did the following when activated:

I deal with a number of suppliers for the exact same product. Distributor A sells for $10.49 Distributor B sells for $10.99. Distributor A is marked as my default vendor in my item database. Distributor A issues a price change to $11.29 and I order it at that price. Next time I look at the item, the default vendor should now be listed Distributor B as default as they are now the most affordable option based on purchase history.
