Is anyone else having issues with booking optimization in appointments? I find the system isn't giving clients the proper times to maximize the schedule with no gaps. For instance, in the screenshot, the schedule on the left (yellow) has a gap when it shouldn't. The client at 7pm booked first so the next client should have gotten the option of 530pm, not 5pm. It's like the system doesn't adjust to different appointment lengths. Is there a way to fix this on my end?
Hi @christiema, how have you configured your appointment times in Square?
Head to this page in your dashboard: https://app.squareup.com/dashboard/appointments/business/settings
Scroll down to 'Online scheduling' and in the first row, check what the interrval is set to.
To me, this reads as your appointments might be on 60 minute intervals, so maybe try 30 minutes if you want them to be on the half an hour etc.
Ok, I see. Currently looking at it, it's at " According to service duration". Do you still recommend changing it to "30 minute intervals"?
This is still happening to me and frankly becoming problematic due to the level of frequency it has recently gotten to. I have changed it to “30 minute intervals” as suggested above and it seems to be worse now. Can anyone assist in why this is happening and how to rectify it?! Anyone in @Beauty having this problem or anyone in Square to assist?
Hey,
we have turned on a setting to maximise our appointment opportunities, only offering clients the times closest to the previous appointment. Sometimes it doesn't work as well but the most it works great, you just need to make sure that the appointments can be booked in 5 minute blocks instead of every hour, half hour etc. This is also a setting. Hope that helps
