✨ Welcome + Introduce Yourself

You made it! Welcome to Square’s togetHER community 🙌

Our purpose is for you to find connection, advice, encouragement, and community with fellow women in business and allies. This community is built for and by you, so make it your own.

First step: Introduce yourself in this thread! We want to get to know each and everyone one of you here. Stuck on how you should introduce yourself to other lady bosses? Here are some things to cover: Tell us who you are, what you’re working on and what type of business you own. If you have an online store, feel free to share with the group!

Our guiding principles

We all want productive, friendly conversation propelling us forward. Keep these in mind when posting:

  • Share actionable information/material. We want this group to provide advice and actions that you can implement immediately to improve your business. Give context when asking questions and be detailed in your responses. Post about the difficult things so we can figure out an answer together as a community.
  • Assume good intent. Tone on the internet is very difficult to convey. Let’s assume that everyone posting here comes from a place of good intention, so we can do the same. If anything feels amiss, please report it to our moderators.
  • Treat your fellow sellers with respect. We all come from different backgrounds and may not always agree with one another, but we can always treat each other with respect. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment or abuse of sellers or moderators because this should be a happy place on the internet.
  • No spam or excessive self promotion. We’ve all seen those groups with the same people posting the same thing every single day. Let’s respect each other’s time and refrain from this type of excessive self promotion. But, by all means, when it’s time to celebrate you, shout that accomplishment from the rooftops!

Can’t wait to see your posts and celebrate you! 🎉

I tried to sell on Etsy but I did not like it as much either. I lack knowledge on SEOs, could you explain them to me? I am still learning everything but would like to maximize my marketing abilities as much as possible!

SEO is search engine optimisation. So keywords that buyers would use to find your product. What selling platforms do you use at the moment? Also when did you start?

Okay! Thank you so much! I just use square for right now. I'm unsure of where else to sell from. I started a few months ago, probably February!

I use Instagram and my square account is linked so any product I put on it tags to my website so if someone clicks it takes them to my website. I also use TikTok but it's under them the shop. I also use linktree the free version and it links all my socials and websites to help me get traffic to all them places. I only started last July so still learning myself. What social media platforms do you use?

Okay that makes sense! I use Tik Tok, Linktree, Instagram, FaceBook, Twitter, and YouTube!

Have you tried using Tik tok shop while your on their platform? have you linked your website products to all your socials? so when people see a product they click on it and it takes them to your website.  I'm not sure if this is allowed but if it is can i have your handle and ill follow you on your socials and try and support you. Do you post every day on all your socials? also do you have them linked on your website so when you get traffic they can see what socials you have and what you post?

I have not, I did not even know Tik Tok Shop existed! I honestly do not think I have yet, but I for sure will! My Tik Tok is @MessyMakesArt, my Instagram is @messymakesartshop, and my FaceBook is Messy Makes Art Shop as well. I try to post everyday! If not then honestly I post every two to three days. I also have my socials linked on my website but I probably need to make a genuine socials page.

you're welcome. The best advice i can give to you is be consistent choose what's manageable for you i post everyday on all my socials and stick to it, you need to plan what suits you maybe x3 a week then what you've planned stick to it and after a month the algorithm will push your content out which leads to more follows likes and more traffic to your website. i work full time too but will try and check in and like and comment on your posts to help push them out. or if you do a live let me know and ill support maybe ask questions so it gets others to do the same.

i love your art work what software do you use to create it?

I love what I am reading here. This type of support is why I joined the "Seller Community." Consistency is key, and since I am doing content creation and marketing, I have learned to listen to my body, do what I can, and leave the rest to my higher self (God). When inspired to record voiceovers and create videos, I use that energy wisely, and before I know it, I have created a week's worth of daily content. I have found scheduling video releases via YouTube extremely helpful. I set all videos to release at the same time.

Remember @MessyMakesArt; we did not start our businesses to create or do everything at once. It will take time; delegate if you must, and use your burst of energy to your advantage. When you are doing what you love, time seems to disappear magically. So, remain on the field and play full out, continue asking for help, and everything else will align with your purpose.

From my heart to yours, thank you for all you do!

Welcome Wand to the community. My number one piece of advice is self-care. Take time to relax, meditate, journal to be present, and become aware of your joy, purpose, and fulfillment. My daily habit of making time for myself aligns with my business and life goals. "Outer world follows Inner world." Presenting myself as an authentic being allows me to give from my overflow without expecting anything in return. If I receive a hug, smile, thank you, or whatever, it's a bonus to my day and another reason to exude gratitude. In short, become the best person to yourself first, then witness how your energy will uplift and affect those around you. From my heart to yours, thank you for all you do, and I love you! 💜

Hi, @wandascleanings. A pleasure to "meet you."  My biggest advice for your business would be to make sure you ASK people to share their feedback online, especially on Google. That will make it much easier for new clients to find you! 🙂

I hope all is well 😀
