Our purpose is for you to find connection, advice, encouragement, and community with fellow women in business and allies. This community is built for and by you, so make it your own.

First step: Introduce yourself in this thread! We want to get to know each and everyone one of you here. Stuck on how you should introduce yourself to other lady bosses? Here are some things to cover: Tell us who you are, what you’re working on and what type of business you own. If you have an online store, feel free to share with the group!

Our guiding principles

We all want productive, friendly conversation propelling us forward. Keep these in mind when posting:

• Share actionable information/material. We want this group to provide advice and actions that you can implement immediately to improve your business. Give context when asking questions and be detailed in your responses. Post about the difficult things so we can figure out an answer together as a community.
• Assume good intent. Tone on the internet is very difficult to convey. Let’s assume that everyone posting here comes from a place of good intention, so we can do the same. If anything feels amiss, please report it to our moderators.
• Treat your fellow sellers with respect. We all come from different backgrounds and may not always agree with one another, but we can always treat each other with respect. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment or abuse of sellers or moderators because this should be a happy place on the internet.
• No spam or excessive self promotion. We’ve all seen those groups with the same people posting the same thing every single day. Let’s respect each other’s time and refrain from this type of excessive self promotion. But, by all means, when it’s time to celebrate you, shout that accomplishment from the rooftops!

Honestly, I use a wide variety of Square's software to run my business: Appointments, Payroll, Retail, Marketing, and Loyalty. Overall, I feel like it helps SO much to run my business. 
In terms of bookkeeping, I utilize Quickbooks Online. It also integrates relatively seamlessly with Square, so I don't have to do too much extra work on my end.

My name is Brooke and I own a coffee and wine house in Waupun, WI called Wind & Unwined. We opened just a couple months before Covid so it has been a whirlwind in this new business, but I love it and I love to learn and grow!  I am looking forward to this group because I love empowering other woman and need to be empowered at times too 🙂 I am looking for tips and tricks for inventory control, better profit controls, and loyalty/rewards ideas!  Thanks so much for welcoming me into the group!

Good Morning Ladies!

My name is Juvy and I retired from the Air Force two years ago. I took a couple years off to relax, bought a house and redid/decorated the whole inside. I finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up. 😆 (40+ years young) 

I created and own, Creations By Vik’Zen.

I create a galore of home and office resin functional art pieces from home like: coasters, serving trays, dessert stands, trinkets, book markers, etc.

I have an online store (CreationsByVikZen.com and Square online) and if you’re ever in northwest Florida (Panhandle) I have a shop at home.

I love creating the pieces but tend to forget to upload everything on my website. 
These next two weeks I’m focused on doing just that.

I hope to gain as much knowledge and contribute to this group.

HI there! I am the owner of TeaHaus and Eat More Tea in Ann Arbor, MI. I have been in business for over 13 years. I am a mom of two boys 13 and 15 (but feels like I have 16 kids if you count my TeaHaus family). I was a consultant and taught at a University in Europe for 14 years where I also trained to be a certified tea sommelier. Originally I am from Colorado, but slowly feeling at home in this nice, vibrant college town. At TeaHaus, we have over 180 loose teas and a bunch of tea stuff. I also have a restaurant/cafe/bakery where we add tea as an ingredient to just about everything we make- gelato, cakes, scones, curds, French macarons, soups, butters,... During the pandemic, I have kept my dining area closed and instead I have been focusing on feeding the community. We have served over 21,000 free lunches and dinners since March 2019! Just seems more important right now.
