Our purpose is for you to find connection, advice, encouragement, and community with fellow women in business and allies. This community is built for and by you, so make it your own.

First step: Introduce yourself in this thread! We want to get to know each and everyone one of you here. Stuck on how you should introduce yourself to other lady bosses? Here are some things to cover: Tell us who you are, what you’re working on and what type of business you own. If you have an online store, feel free to share with the group!

Our guiding principles

We all want productive, friendly conversation propelling us forward. Keep these in mind when posting:

• Share actionable information/material. We want this group to provide advice and actions that you can implement immediately to improve your business. Give context when asking questions and be detailed in your responses. Post about the difficult things so we can figure out an answer together as a community.
• Assume good intent. Tone on the internet is very difficult to convey. Let’s assume that everyone posting here comes from a place of good intention, so we can do the same. If anything feels amiss, please report it to our moderators.
• Treat your fellow sellers with respect. We all come from different backgrounds and may not always agree with one another, but we can always treat each other with respect. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment or abuse of sellers or moderators because this should be a happy place on the internet.
• No spam or excessive self promotion. We’ve all seen those groups with the same people posting the same thing every single day. Let’s respect each other’s time and refrain from this type of excessive self promotion. But, by all means, when it’s time to celebrate you, shout that accomplishment from the rooftops!

Hi!  I'm Doran- an esthetician and blogger turned boutique owner--due to Covid lockdowns and restrictions on my skincare profession.

That's quite a change @Doran, how has the transition to retail/the boutique world been? Will you be able to resume your skincare work soon?

It is a steep learning curve but I am enjoying it.  I'm hoping to start facials again next month when my daughter returns to school.  Right now she comes with me to work and shopping with a toddler running around is a bit more fun than getting a facial with one.

Thank you for approving my company and myself into this wonderful group of women. 

Here is a little about what I am moving forward with in my company. I have created my company about 5-6 ago, building each stepping stone alone. At this time I have achieved becoming a nonprofit organization , moving forward now, I have purchased a physical location to step towards my mission.

I was ecstatic to see a group that I felt would help me with my questions regarding information and usage in Square.

Hi friends! I'm Maegan and I have a paint your own pottery & diy art studio in Maryland! 🙂 Switched to Square in a whirlwind few days as our state shut down during COVID just over a year ago.

Online sales tied to a POS have been a game changer in the pandemic landscape and it will continue to shape my business as we rebound. This certainly isn't the same business I had two years ago, but after the craziness of the past year, I'm excited to see what the next year (and more) brings!

I've enjoyed learning how to make Square work for my studio and joining whatever Beta programs/opportunities there are, particularly with Square Online!

You can see our Square Online site at thepotterystop.square.site, but my primary site is thepotterystop.com. Anyone else keep their informational site separate from their online ordering site? Or connect it to a subdomain of their primary site?

Hello!  I am a stylist with Color Street and love it so much that I plan on retiring with them.  Traditionally MLM's get a bad rap, but I have found first hand that this one is soooo much different.  I am the CEO of my business, run it as such, and am having a ball!  I'm looking forward to seeing how successful ppl in this group run their businesses.  I'm interested in stories of great follow-up,  inventory management, how you track business expenses, and what CRM's you ladies use.  Thanks for the warm welcome!
