Why would authorized credit card transactions keep getting canceled in Square?

Have any of you experienced the cancellation of credit card transactions that have been authorized? (Meaning, you think you have collected the payment and later find out you have not collected it by looking in Reports/PaymentStatus and finding that the transaction has been cancelled? I just discovered I have had $3500 worth of cancelled transactions over the past 5 months that I was not aware of until today. And Square support doesn't seem to be able to help me!!!

I am trying to figure this canceled status out.  I'm not sure what exactly it is as I too have matching transactions with credit cards and or gift cards listed in the canceled status.  @isabelle  can you elaborate on this status meaning?
